Once again, swiping Neal's lighting from an entirely different face. (Why didn't I think of this years ago?)

Great Thursday page, JB.

Love the last panel with Professor X and Magneto.

Uh Ohhh, Charles!
What did you do to Magneto’s brain?!  Whatever it is...Magneto looks like he remembers.

That's quite a plot twist! Professor X has been a touch gray in his ethics here and there but Magneto clearly has a real grudge to settle--and his counterpart's mutant force was a pretty good tool to do just that.

LOVE the lighting on Xavier's and Magneto's faces, JB. That's fantastic work.

Wait. Where’d the helmet and original costume come from?

First time I see a helmet that looks
actually like an helmet somebody could out
on / put off, and not a "painted / fused
with the head one". Great job !

I really like the shading in this series! The art has been awesome all around.  Great fun to look at each day it's posted!

Speaking of Magneto’s helmet, google “Medieval Barbute Helmet” and ponder which might have influenced Kirby’s original design.

I sense the M-Men may be making their introduction to Professor Xavier and the "younger" Magneto very shortly. My anticipation is barely able to suppressed...

Panel 3 - Did Neal Adams guest artist this panel?
Panel 4 - Did Gil Kane guest pencil this panel?

No insult intended - your art is YOUR art and plentiful in appreciation - but it seems you're homaging these artists as well. Your masterful storyline is augmented by such brilliant artistry.

And I must wonder... who can judge Magneto and the M-Men, on the assumption that the X-Men win and don't destroy their counterparts? I suppose the Watcher might, but there's his commission to non-interference. Yup, my anticipation is ranting and raving here!

I recall hearing about mag-neat-o(s) much more often in the 1970's than I do
today. Although automobiles were the consumer-grade microprocessors of
their day (buzz-worthy), I believe it was used in other contexts.

Also, a stray thought: Is "car" short for "motorized car-riage"?@Jon Burn: (<--
That and swiping Neal's faces made me laugh this morning.)

I love seeing Prof X getting involved in the action. Seems rare he gets to "be
the man". Thanks for that.
