Reads like Shooter on acid.----
The rabbit hole created by one iron-clad editorial whim. Followed by "I can fix this" writing at the expense of story.

The last two pages are a nice change of change of pace. Dramatic, but in an entirely different way to what is going on at Xavier's estate.

* In those days Shooter maintained that each letter "represented" 16,000 readers who had the same ideas but didn't write in.
======================================================
Not even going to ask where Shooter pull that figure from........

Every page a cliffhanger. Loving it!
Hoping not to cause a thread drift: JB: Is the EIC responsible for the direction of books or is it the writers? i.e. would a dictatorial EIC like Shooter have kept today's books more in line with the titles histories or as writer is it up to you to stay within that frame work or as you say take the "what can I break approach?"

Great way to go into the weekend with Kitty’s fate uncertain. Thank goodness there isn’t more than three days to wait.

John, if it’s not too much trouble, could you post the actual page without the Photoshop enhancement? Perhaps at the end so as not to upset the flow of the story? Thanks in advance.

Love those effects on today's page!
I am more worried for Kitty than ever.
What a week. First Magneto peels Logan like a banana, and now this!

I can see there will be consequences all around, after the last couple of pages.

SIDEBAR: Found an essay online discussing the four new members I added to the Imperial Guard back in 137. The writer had managed to figure out that it was my general disdain for the Legion of Superheroes that prompted my action, and not any problems with Dave Cockrum. However, he also quibbled that two of the characters had “Earth based” names. Since he didn’t specify who, I won’t try to guess which of Warstar, Earthquake, Hussar and Manta troubled him. He expressed no equivalent problem with the likes of Gladiator, Hobgoblin, Oracle or any of the pre-existing members with Earth based names. I wonder, does he actually think the characters were supposed to be speaking English?
