The advantage of this format over a published comic is best exemplified by the Colossus leg edits.
Now, some might say an advantage would have been to have had an editor make JB sort that out within the story, but I quite like this organic nature/fluidity to the production process.
Is it a bit like Lucas tinkering with Star Wars? Maybe. But what would we prefer?
In some ways, it is a very good example of lack of ego and the writer actually asking the question 'What next', realising that there actually isn't anything and pulling the plug.
I really wish that had happened in a fair few published comics in the past, but ego gets in the way and they keep ploughing on regardless, trying to make something out of nothing, because their original idea MUST have had merit at the time.
So bravo JB, and again, thanks for the years of free comics that we are receiving.

Way to start up the week with this great page.
Feel like I'm watching a chess match with the characters.

Ha! Well, yes.
But if not, to be humble enough to admit that you didn’t is a rare character indeed

JB, I'm hoping I'm right about this but... IIRC, "Acts of Vengeance" was your idea, originally, switching around villains on the heroes. It's a terrific idea, so it makes me wonder if you had any inclination to let ELSEWHEN show how some of those ideas and concepts of yours might have played out as intended, without editorial mandates exploding and altering them profoundly. Thanks!

It occurred to me this morning that we have seen JB do something in the same vein as ELSEWHEN before, with the fifteen year gap between NEXT MEN books. It makes sense to me that the execution of ideas fifteen (or forty!) years later would be different - he's a different artist with additional experience now.

IDW approached Marvel about this, and the response was if it’s going to happen, Marvel will handle it. Which means it’s not going to happen. Be content with what you’re getting, guys! ===================================================== I'm enjoying every panel!!! We'll never get this again.

A list of leg edited pages might be pretty handy if it hasn't been done already and I missed it, should anyone have the time/patience? I keep the alternate or outtake pages in their own folder and would move the earlier versions there.

Storm's new look is growing on me! I like how she looks on today's page.
Iceman's "pie a la mode" remark... Was that a sly nod to his infamous scene in "X-Men" (vol. 1) #3?

Thanks! ••• Typically for the time, Editorial had come up with the “Acts of Vengeance” title without a story concept behind it. I suggested swapping villains—which, as I recall, led to a bunch of Doctor Doom stories. I have no desire to revisit that scenario in ELSEWHEN.
