A friend texted this morning to ask how my day was starting, so I snapped this eye-level shot of the drawing board, telling her I was waiting for my muse to arrive. She replied that in her pre-coffee state she had at first mistaken the lamp at left for my cat, Poe. If I squint, I can sort of see it. (Those are pot lights, sunk into the ceiling, but for some reason the iPhone camera sees them as spheres. Science!)

It's nice to be surrounded by models. I find it gets the imagination chugging along.

Yeah, I'm not even going to pretend like I'm not enlarging and darkening the pages to see what secrets they hold.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who had this thought. (I didn't do it, but was sorely tempted.)

I first saw your cat.
And I’ve already had coffee….

I thought the triceratops was the cat at first.

Poe is there, but hiding. Trust me. All cats hide and they're usually where you least expect them, especially when it comes to locating them for vet visits.

If I squint I see the cat... and a huge pair of shades on the triceratops :)

And an alien face under the shades...
What's in my coffee?
