If it had started with a rabbit, I might have thought you were working your way through the animals of "Song of the South"-- Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, Br'er Bear...

Looking forward to the smoldering bear story - for a moment I thought we were getting Snowbird into the storyline until Jean got close. As you said, no speculation.
Like others I enjoy heroes being heroes - I grew up on Swan Superman who'd rather die himself than kill anyone under any circumstances. Of course, as an adult I see the problem with superheroes putting villains who kill into jails with revolving doors, but still in my heart feel heroes shouldn't kill except in impossible situations (kill or millions will die type situations). It is funny how Dark Knight by Miller was seen as pushing the killer hero but he had Batman stop short of killing Joker despite having every reason to kill him at that moment (of course having him maim and nearly kill many takes away a lot of hero points imo). Wandering off here. Better stop.
As always, love the art and story and the touches of 'fixing' the past where characters were miswritten in your opinion as this is JB's sandbox so he can do whatever he wants to the characters, but I love having them stay in character and not go off into weird directions just because he could ala Claremont's messy redo of X-Men a few years back where he killed off Wolverine almost immediately and had Kitty get a single claw on each hand from him somehow - never did figure that one out - and go very dark due to it.

Go Kitty!!! She is stealing the show, talk about a page turner. You are a master of the medium... WOW!
I'm trying not to overuse exclamation marks, but it's impossible when talking about Johns work!

What a great page! Man, I don't think I've ever seen that degree of "I'm gonna murder something" on Wolverine's face...

I feel JB's foot on the story-accelerator right now. I am loving every minute of this. THIS is the X-men.

Not at all how I expected Wolverine to escape that demon. Great twist, looking forward to whatever comes next.

Now that it's been addressed on-page, I was thinking that Wolverine probably couldn't ever be digested by any large creature*. It would be a continuously painful ride throughout (for both him and the feaster), but he'd make it out alive.

Wolverine is fightin' mad now! (Like he wasn't already...)
I think I might know where the Jean/smoldering bear story is generally headed, but I can also be totally wrong. I love that! (It wouldn't be the first time I was fooled by a JB storyline.) I'm not saying anything until such time it all plays itself out. In any event, I'm holding out hope for a "Jean Grey vs. the Bear Rider" story.

JB: Apologies if you've addressed this before - in your conception of Kitty's powers, does she reduce the mass of an object she's phasing?
