@Vinny: My personal opinion is that in a match-up of Wolverine vs. a vat of acid...the acid wins hands-down.
So, with regards to being eaten...poops out adamantium skeleton without any trace of Wolverine attached to them because he doesn't heal *that* fast.
But I probably have an outdated mental impression of his powers.

Sounds about right, Steven. Wolverine can heal from just about any injury (decapitation might slow him down!), but the constant assault of being immersed in acid would see his flesh regenerate only to be immediately destroyed. A stripped skeleton would almost certainly be the result. And even if some scraps of tissue remained, this is not a Wolverine who could grow a whole body from a few cells.

I have as my mental reference that amazing and shocking scene you drew in Days of Future Past when the Sentinel's palm-blaster shreds his flesh. It established a real and practical upper limit in my mind!

Also established once and for all what had been said many times—that Wolverine’s bones had been fully replaced with adamantium. (Of course, that only lasted until I left the book. Then Shooter pressured Chris into making it “more realistic” and we started getting references to Logan’s bones being “laced” with adamantium. Not sure how that could have “realistically” protected him from the punishment he’d been seen to take.)

He must be heavy. Muscles constantly in hypertrophy carrying that metal around. Needing to consume massive calories like the Flash! Make your head spin just thinking of admantium bones!

I can only assume a whole bunch of you are biting your typing fingers to avoid speculation.------------------------------------------------ ha! yeah, this is the one and only time during Elsewhen that I'm pretty sure I do know what this is. Loving this subplot.

The scene back in UX-M #142 where the future Sentinel leaves just the skeleton was one of the most memorable and horrific of any comic I've ever seen. You'd probably have to go back to those pre-code E.C.s for something of that caliber, or ahead to Flesh n' Bones in that Spider-Woman run.
Wolv is really going through the ringer in these comics too though! :^O

Wolverine, Colossus, and the Thing often fall victim to the Worf Effect, but it's a trope borne of necessity. Using Angel or Storm as a pin-cushion would be like Daffy swallowing nitroglycerine: you can only do it once.
Still --- we might only hope that for a guy who's been hit with bullets and arrows as many times as he has, good ol' Logan would at least try to master the art of the dodge >:^D

Am I the only one who thinks it was Jean zapping that policeman for calling her Phoenix? "If I hear that name one more time I'm gonna blast someone!" ;-)
Loving all the Jean moments so far...
I too have a theory about the animals -we'll see if it turns out...
