My mind went some place weird this morning while re-reading the comments.

Here it is in the form of a riddle:

Q: What do you get if you cut Wolverine in half?

My answer:

A: Two dead bodies.

:)

Q: What would happen if Wolverine was somehow split in half, would two of him heal?

Lengthways or widthways? (rhetorical)

:D

I agree, dead!...unless...erm, (gruesome) the two halves were held together, I'd not be against them stitching back together.

Edited to add:

I'm actually really liking seeing the punishment Logan is taking. No-one else could recover or take such abuse.

What's notable about the amount of injury Logan has sustained is that JB has been showing us he doesn't just bounce back from every type of hurt he suffers. His brain is still damaged from what Dark Phoenix did to him; he might have repaired the physical damage by now (maybe) but there's likely scarring and some impairments remaining--lost memories and cognitive function being the evident ones--and only time will tell if there are lingering effects.

And that's great! We're used to a Wolverine who is "factory fresh" a minute after being as near death as a mortal can be. That "you can't kill me" guy is boring. This guy is not.

A note on next weeks pages: Having started this issue with a double page spread contained in a single post, the last page will appear next Thursday, coincidentally the last day of September.

The next issue will begin the following Monday, October 4th.

On the Sept. 17 page, in frame 2, we saw Jahf in the monster's right claw ... and when Logan sliced into that right claw in frame 4, Jahf was no longer there.  So for the past week, I wondered if he had become an amuse-bouche while our focus was on Logan in frame 3!

Glad to see he managed to escape uneaten.  Not that I'm suggesting that he dodged!

Look again. The demon’s hand is not closed. It’s sweeping Jahf aside, not grabbing him.

Just spent a few minutes perusing various webcomic sites, and there’s nary a mention of ELSEWHEN.

So, I think I may have asked this before, but, why is ELSEWHEN not considered a webcomic?

I'm sort of baffled about why this is not mentioned on more comic-related media. I have seen some Youtube videos discussing it - all positive so far...

I think most comic book websites have a relationship with publishers, whether it's a publisher's publicity team for news/gossip reporting or with its distribution arm.

My theory - they likely believe that reporting on our featuring ELSEWHEN could potentially burn their bridge with Marvel since it is not an officially sanctioned book. As digital publishing is now an established part of the comic book world, featuring ELSEWHEN could put them in jeopardy with Marvel, and they rely on that relationship even if they are critical of its dynamics.

ELSEWHEN is unique in that it has no editorial oversight, so we get an unfiltered look at what the artist wants. This very thing that makes the title special to me is also what prevents it from being shared beyond this website and social media groups.

Huh. I thought webcomics were “independent”. I didn’t realize they were organs of existing publishers.
