A guy named Tom Morgan worked pretty steadily at Marvel in the late 1980s
into the mid 1990s on Captain America and Iron Man and also did some
decent covers but completely vanished from the scene subsequently.
Admittedly I don’t haunt the spinner rack like I once did but I haven’t seen
hide nor hair from him in probably 30 years. He was a young guy so I
assume he changed careers but his departure seemed both sudden and
final.

Wow. I didn't realize Lightle passed away. Remember his X-Men Classic covers.

Yeah, COVID got him.  I always liked his work on the Legion of Super-Heroes

Craig Hamilton was great.  I loved the Aquaman costume redesign which was intended to be ocean camouflage.

Other great artists for me who seemed to kinda evaporate include John Totleben (I think I heard he had vision problems?), Adam Hughes, Bart Sears, and Mark Beachum.

Isn't Kerry Gammill doing storyboards in LA?

Tom Morgan is a story artist for Disney. He's on Facebook ans posts fairly often.
