A few friends and I take an annual trip to a different ballpark or two, Camden yards is still a top 5, love that set up.
Visited the now closed Geppi's Entertainment Museum while I was there. Incredible, I was in nostalgia heaven and was the first time I seen an Action Comics #1 or a Yellow Kid strip in person.

Also, seen and bought my first Star Trek New Visions at Geppi's.

The city that also spawned James Johnson.

Too many memories:

  • The opening of Harborplace (and the Geppi's Inner Harbor location) which played a major part of my high school years.
  • The Aquarium
  • MD Science Center
  • As a child, riding my bike around the harbor LONG before it became a tourist attraction and the McCormick spice plant would have that area smelling like a combination of too many spices
  • Memorial Stadium sporting events of the 1970s
  • Camden Yards & M&T Bank stadium

I can go on 'n on.............................

Good weeks to visit Charm City coming up. Baltimore Book Festival Sept. 18-20, and of course the Comic Con the week after.

Andrew, if you feel like making a slight detour on your way north, make a stop at Havre de Grace. About 15 minutes off I 95, the exit before you cross the Susquehanna river. City right on the Chesapeake Bay. Great food scene, arts venues, etc.  Fun city to stop and relax before you head north.
