Philippe, yes, just a hobby.  Trust me, there are plenty of painters and sculptors out there that are WAY better than me (including quite a few on this board).  Definitely not something I could turn into a job (though I did have dreams of working in Lucas' model shop when I was a kid).

Richard, still thinking about it, still hoping Eaglemoss does their own version, preferably in the same size as Galactus and the Sentinel.  If not, then I'll get serious about it.  I'm more of a painter than sculptor, so that's probably beyond my scope.

Thanks for the very kind words, everyone!!

Courtesy of Richard Jackson at Eaglemoss, Zombula across the street (dude, I know you're here, join in!), and a nameless professional painter.

For John Bodin and anyone else entering the custom competition on the figurine forum, I just saw this posted:

"Also , in the Custom Competition - a new category has been added -- " The Eaglemoss Custom " -- the guys at Eaglemoss that put the figurines & mags together are going to jointly judge what they deem to be the best painted, sculpted, original idea in conception & execution etc == overall winning fig ; which will receive a prize donated from Eaglemoss - yet to be confirmed.
All other prizes are also being donated by Eaglemoss for the comp.
Many thanks to Rich & co at Eaglemoss for this & no better incentive imo to enter"

VERY COOL!

My Kang's face turned out green - almost as green as his uniform. For the
first time, I am tempted to get out my tiny paint brushes.

Now that you mention it Wayne, I checked mine again and Kang's face does look more green than blue.  Not the same green as the uniform, but definitely not the striking blue it should be!
