Anybody else think Dracula looks like Jason Alexander with hair? Could just be me.

Let's put it this way. . . when I look at that Dracula, I can almost hear someone saying "If we don't watch out, some vampire is gonna walk in here!" At which point he would step thru the door saying "Hello!"(That's half a Lenny and Squiggy joke, for you young 'uns."

Another blog update. Did I mention I like this new guy? A little bit of news, plus confirmations of Hammerhead and Owl. Ok... Swordsman sculpt.

Well, I don't give a hoot about the Swordsman, but I LIKE that sculpt!!One of my classic pound-head-on-desk conversations with Mark Gruenwald involved the Swordsman. Gruenie was gearing up for his Hawkeye series, and complaining about how silly it was that the Swordsman was supposed to have been the one who trained Clint Barton to be a master archer. "What did he do?" Mark demanded. "Say, see how good I am with a sword? Now -- get that good with a bow and arrow!" So he wanted to show who had "really" trained Clint in archery. "But," I said, "rather than contradicting what's established, why not just show that the Swordsman is a master with MANY weapons, and has merely chosen the sword as his signature piece?" Mark stared at me like I'd grown another head. Of course, Mark also went on to give Hawkeye a "realistic" bow, and try to explain where all those trick arrow heads "really" lived on his costume. (Mark was one of those people who could never buy the idea that Hawkeye or Green Arrow could pull from their quivers something like an arrow with a boxing glove on the end. "How does that not pull all the other arrows out too??" Suggesting that such a thing might INFLATE after being pulled from the quiver ---- well, again, there was that two-headed gaze.)

I agree Ryan. He's a lot better than the previous guy. Plus, he hasn't missed a Friday yet!

Blog update! What character will NOT be in the main line, plus two confirmations. Vance Astro and Spider-Man 2099. I'm a big NO for both. P.S. Are they really going to charge Special pricing for Bat-Mite and Mxyzptlk on one base?!?

I might find room for Vance Astro, but only if I am sure the rest of the Guardians will be following at a reasonable pace.

Wrecker (too tall I think, needs to be squatter and more bulkier) and Songbird (would have preferred the Chief's Screaming Mimi, but there we go...) arrived today. Toad next and then Moondragon (looking forward to MD...she'll nearly complete the Avengers for me, although I would have liked Mantis too.)

…would have preferred the Chief's Screaming Mimi…•• Not mine! Mark Gruenwald's, as I recall.
