Paul Kupperberg was over here on Sunday with a cautionary tale to tell. Visiting the LCS, he'd picked up the Scarlet Witch. Upon getting it home, he discovered the plastic bag containing box and magazine had been slit open (not an uncommon occurrence at that particular shop). Unfortunately, he discovered this when the box containing the figure fell out of the bag and the Witch's right arm was snapped off at the elbow.

I've had a number of these pieces arrive with bent parts -- Mystique's guns, Kraven's spear, one of Loki's horns -- but so far nothing actually broken! (I recall Wayne Osborne had a breakage problem with his Dr. Strange.)

The Rhino looks pretty cool to me until my eye tracks down to his feet.  The lower anatomy doesn't work for me at all.

Behold my collection.  Hopefully the picture is okay.  Who would have thought that living in Britain would have it's advantages.

Disappointed with the Rhino. They've missed his overall shape completely. Vulture looks terrific. And Psylocke looks good enough that I may pick it up even tho I care not two figs for the character.

Exactly what I was thinking.  Shame about the Rhino.  I wonder how easy it would be to add some bulk and smooth out the hide a bit.  They use a great JRJr image on the front of the magazine then give us that sculpt??

Not only that, but the Rhino is a charger.  Makes no sense that he's standing nearly straight up and flexing his arms.

Agreed about Vulture and Psylocke.

Kraven and Wanda arrived today!  Kraven's spear was a little bent, but is back where it belongs.  He is just perfect, I love this sculpt.  Wanda is excellent, the cape blowing across her body and the hip thrown out to the side are nice flourishes next to the more rigid Avengers men.

I wonder how hard it would be to customize the Juggernaut. That's a
character I don't have much attachment to, and he's about the right size and
shape. Could I scrape off parts and remelt the lead to make other parts?

The head would be a bear, tho.

Come on, Medusa is not so bad either, but it's true that after Emma Frost, this is a real improvement !

Do you know (as an average), the number of figurines which are released ? I don't know you, but every figurine I've got has a number below 50 ... It's not a big deal, but I just wanted to know...

The Rhino is good , he has a good "dynamic" pose, but I agree with people who are thinking the "traditional" shape is not here. I will get it, of course, in order to increase the number of villains.

My next issue will be 62. That plus all the specials and variants make around 70... so far.

Does anyone feel like re-hashing how Psylocke went from being British (with purple hair I think) to Japanese(?)?  Costume and hair changes make sense but this seems like a case of someone really wanting a hot ninja chick in a story and forcing an existing character into the role.
