Nice one Paul. I guess it didn't cost you $30, right ?

To go alongside Ryan's awesome Sasquatch, my Chris Giarrusso arrived today.

A few weeks back I went to the Gem City Comic Con in Dayton, Ohio. Here is what I picked up there.

First, I'm a sucker for these blank sketch covers. So I had Jim Valentino do the "Silver Age" Shadowhawk on this Image United cover.

I bought this page from X-Men Forever by artist Steve Scott.

Here is what was on the back of that page.

Here is the start of my C2E2 pick-ups. The first three are from Tony Harris.

Tony has no idea what this piece was for. But it was Green Lantern. How could I pass?

This is a cover rough to the Spider-Man: With Great Power....#1. I cropped it so it wouldn't show a persons phone number.

This is the actual art used for the cover to Reign of the Zodiak # 3.

Here are two more Art Baltazar sketches. Art is one of the coolest people out there. If you've never met him at a con, do yourself a favor and do so.

Christian Alamy did this nice sketch of Atrocitus. The leader of the Red Lanterns.

Pat Gleason did this cool sketch of Killowog.

Chris Samnee does what he calls, "blog sketches". Just random sketches he posts on his site. I picked up these two.

Kalibak.

Zorro.

As much as I like Chris G, Art Baltazar's style has never done it for me. However, Mr. Fantastic is the best Baltazar drawing I've seen yet. Very clever, I really like that.

I am a huge fan of horror films. I also have a love of Blaxploitation films. A few years back I purchased a Bela Lugosi painting from Chris Kuchta when I met him at a horror convention. When I saw he was going to be in artists alley for C2E2 I commissioned him to paint me the main character of one of my favorite "bad" movies of all time.

"You shall pay, black prince. I shall place a curse of suffering on you that will doom you to a living hell. I curse you with my name. You shall be... Blacula!"
