Robert, Wednesday Nite Sketch is where John Beatty will draw your sketch on his Ustream Channel, on Wednesday and you can see the sketch being produced. To me it is just fun to see how an artist produces a figure from a blank sheet of paper, I am always curious on how each artist produces their artwork.

Originally used as the cover for Spider-Man Family #3, this cover optimizes what I love about Spider-Man as well as captures my love for reading. I've always loved Olliffe's physical interpretation of the character, so when I saw this on ebay, I jumped on it. It was only after seeing it in black and white that I could fully appreciate the detail put into the piece!

Pat is simply amazing. Extremely under-rated artist and easily in the top12 Spider-Man artists in my list.

Hey, everybody! Here's a sketch cover I had done by Mark Bagley today at Heroes Con in Charlotte. He and JR, Sr. are my favorite Spider-Man artists, so this was a grail for me. He was also here, last year, but, despite the fact that rushed to his table right at the Convention started, he was all booked up. This year, I had an advance pass and got in early, so I was the first one to his table (I even beat him!). Anyway, I'm absolutely thrilled with it! I should have a couple other sketches to show off, tomorrow.

I became aware of Dave Wachter before going to a Reading, PA convention and realized I was too late to get a sketch from him because his list was closed. After seeing his stuff up close, I immediately asked him to do his take on the cover of Marvel Team-Up #59. Like Neil Vokes' inkwash style, Dave's sensibilities fit smoke, shadow, night, etc. Dave doesn't use inkwash, but actually integrates some white-out to get the full effect..... to staggering end results. This piece looks nice online, but it blows my mind everytime that I take a closer in-hand look at it. Psst, David has a bit of a dark side to him and emailed me, saying he wanted to make Yellowjacket "really dead.. like really, reall dead".
