I've been cutting back on comics, so I figure I can go in this direction and have some cool nick-knacks for the Brad Cave. •• I've mentioned before that collecting these, and their Marvel cousins, has allowed me to recapture something of the thrill I used to feel as a kid buying comics. Waiting for the "next issue", wondering what lay ahead. All that's missing is the thrill of the hunt.

It's kind of hard to find that anymore. Or the surprise might be more like it for me. One thing I do do today is, if I'm looking forward to something, such as a movie or book, I try to avoid everything I can about it before I see or get it. It's one reason I like it here, we usually have *spoiler* upfront to avoid if we want.

Well, for the french fans of the collection, "the thrill of the hunt" will be very soon known to each of us in France since the DC Collection will be cancelled very soon, due to very bad sales (according to one of the dealers of the Album store in Paris ...)
I think there was a mistake in the order in which the figurines were released and most of all, DC characters were never THAT popular in France.
The JLA team was almost complete but I fear Cyborg and Kid Flash will never be part of my Teen Titans Team ... unless the collection goes on in other countries !

I already have the thrill of the hunt chasing the mega-specials. After 4 shops, I finally got the Watcher today.
As for DC, I hope they change the strategy and not simply cancel the whole line. I'd like to buy a Zatanna.

I wouldn't be very surprised to hear the DC Line has been canceled. (I wouldn't be surprised to hear this is just a comic shop rumor, either!) Altho I have bought most of them, I think the figures have been less well crafted than their Marvel cousins, and the choices of who gets made first have been even more dubious than across the street. It took fifty or sixty figures for someone to decide Jinx was a "classic" Marvel character. How soon did we get Bane? Or Doomsday?

The couple of comments I've read elsewhere make it sound like the French distributor is dealing with low sales at brick and mortar shops. Something to keep an eye on, but I doubt it will affect the entire line for the rest of us.

Have many of you been using the Comic Guru, a shop based in Wales? That's how I've been getting my Marvel and DC figurines, and they generally just take a week to ship from there to my home in Maine.

With DC I've focused on the JLA figures, but I'll be getting some villains soon. Hope they are not cancelling the line, but rather rethinking their choices
