Any depiction of Man-Thing is all about the face and the eyes.  Jodi nailed it.

Thanks all, I really enjoyed this one, something I don't do much is the add on's. I like keeping the ponies pretty true to their original form and there is another artist that has made the sculpting add on's her thing and I want to respect that.

I had been given a choice on which one to make, Bob Dylan or Man-thing, of course after studying Man-thing I started searching out tiny guitars and harmonicas because Man-thing scared the crap out of me and not in a good comic book way. After all that we are going through with Chuck I needed to get my mind off of life and thought doing the more challenging pony would be a good way to do that.  And it was, art is like therapy for me and I needed this.

Ryan writes: That's awesome! I love the mottled paint job.

Ryan I can thank the "Manga artist Pen set by Faber Castell" for that. If anyone does customs or just likes to draw, these are such great pens, they have the ink that allows you to shade, I LOVE them.

I get them at Hobby Lobby when they have the in store coupon for 40% off, so normally they run about 23 dollars, but I get them for 40% off which is pretty cool.

Jesse, I meant to to you that's a great sculpt. I've been pretty impressed by all the ones you have shown us over the years.

Jodi, the more I look at your Pony-Thing, the more I love it. It might be your best yet. You really gave it a other worldly look to it. If you came across a Pony-Thing in some forest or swamp you'd be totally creeped out. Bravo.

LOL... that My Little Man-Thing is hysterical and disturbing at the same time.  GREAT work as always.... can't wait to see what kind of reaction I get when I show that pic to my daughters:  "Yaaaaaaah!!!  What is that?!!!"

Thanks guys, they have been a blast to do. As some of you know Hasbro has stopped making the blanks, so not sure how many more will be coming.

James and Ryan, those Lego sets are fantastic. Great job guys.  Ryan, call me jealous. I want that Millenium Falcon...I think it is one of the coolest Lego set ever made.

Jodi, your ponies, including the one above of the Man-Thing, are incredible. Well done and congrats on the CNN article as well.

Thanks Sebastien

Jesse I have to say I thought the picture of the sculpt you posted was done by someone else and you had ordered it and was sharing it. But am I to understand you did that? If so, Holy Cow that is freaking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Jodi this is a piece that I commissioned a friend of mine (Helder M.) to sculpt for me.    I wish I could sculpt like this, but I'm NO WHERE near this good yet.

I've always wanted a Box to complete my Alpha Flight display, and I got tired of waiting and waiting and waiting, so I commissioned it myself.

Here's a few finished pica of him ... now I just have to paint him up.
