Great looking, JB.
Not being morbid but love the people in the background covered with bees.

That is amazing. What a great drawing! This is my new favorite "monster commission" and possibly the best 11x17 of 2009.
I can't wait to read how those bees were accomplished!

At first I thought the "large" bees were giant bees (thinking back to the big electronic bees in Swarm's debut during JB's run on Champions). Then I soaked in the other bees....and had a moment akin to having one of those "Magic Eye" 3-D images come into focus.
Another great commission piece!

All I can say is....HOLY CRAP! Talk about detail.
It almost looks like he is "walking" on air, instead of floating. Very cool!
JB, I freakn' LOVE this one. THANKS again, Clint.

Hey! A "bug" and a "swarm" in back-to-back commissions! Cool.

If you had to draw this character in a regular series, would you be able to draw him this way? It seems certain characters like your version of Swarm (and the "shiny" Batman) work very well in a large formats like commissions, but would not necessarily translate well in a comic book. I would imagine it would be either be too time-consuming or the details would get lost.

And, yes, I would have used this technique.

I'm guessing...JB puts ink on a piece of cloth or cotton and "dabs" it on?

Oh, and by the way --- I had to pull out the pertinent issues to remind myself whether Swarm could fly/float --- and DAMN YOU CLINT LUDWICK for making me look at that old stuff!! My eyes are STILL bleeding!!
