I have read MOONCOP:
Not a long read (thirty minutes or so). Simplistically drawn - not a bad thing - and a compelling tale. Has a lot to say about the human condition, specifically about how technology can make us feel isolated - and how automation can make us depressed.
Well worth a read.

Dwight R. Decker, A Moon of Their Own
A group of teenagers undertakes a mission for the government on an abandoned theme park situated on an artificial moon.
Sort of like a Heinlein juvenile with touches of Westworld and A-I. Written by longtime comics fan Dwight Decker.

Just started BLACK WIDOW: FOREVER RED by Margaret Stohl. I haven't read many superhero novels -- and, of those, there were few that I liked. It feels like an odd disconnect, experiencing superheroes without a visual component. Nevertheless, giving this one a shot.

Since startingto read books on Kindle, since I travel so much I have been reading a lot more.
I have been catching up on books my brothers read while I was a child along with others that I've been interested in but never read.
So, recently, I've read TARZAN WAR OF THE WORLDS SKYLARK GALACTIC PATROL
Interesting stuff. Currently on a break from the past as I read CATALYST prior to the release of ROGUE ONE but once that is done I'll be finishing off GALACTIC PATROL and on to either the next TARZAN book or the next LENSMAN book, not sure which at this stage

PRISONERS OF GEOGRAPHY by Tim Marshall:
One of the best books on geopolitics that I've read. Am now understanding how important shipping lanes are to various nations.
Lots of great little nuggets of information, i.e. the theory that the presence of the Himalayas prevents conflict between India and China (there was a brief border war in 1962, though).
So much stuff of interest in this one, with brief and concise histories of various countries.

Wondering if this would be good value for money:
Just under thirty quid per quarter. Books can be anywhere between six quid and fifteen quid. That would make the other items in the box around thirteen quid or less.
Part of me thinks it's a lot - but part of me likes the surprise factor.
Plus, as far as novels go, I am painfully predictable. I only tend to read Dan Brown, Stephen King and Jeffrey Archer. It'd be good to have a surprise book, probably not from any of those authors.
Would anyone here sign up for it?

Just finished SIGNAL by Patrick Lee. A fast paced thriller with interesting time travel-ish elements. Highly recommended.
Now starting THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER'S WEB by David Lagercrantz, a continuation of the Millennium series by Stig Larsson.
