YOURS TRULY, JOHNNY DOLLAR, edited by Tommy Hancock. The book contains a series of short mystery stories like the JOHNNY DOLLAR radio program from the 1950s.

PEYTON PLACE by Grace Metalious, for I want to say is the fourth time. Sure, the book that “shocked the Nation” in 1956* tells a tawdry tale—actually several—but her skill as a writer is marvelous to behold. ——————— * How well I remember my parents sending a heavily disguised copy to friends in England, where it had been banned!

Now starting book #22 in the ongoing Dave Robicheaux mystery series by one of my favorite authors, who still seems to be going strong at the age of 82.

So Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time is being tuned into an Amazon series. Was thinking about tackling it. It looks a bit daunting...worth the effort?

Now checking out the second novel in the John Cardinal mystery series, set in Ontario, Canada... The first book was so good that I picked up books #2 and #3 to get a jump on the series.
