Ok, here is one I did for fun last year, an homage to JB's JLA #96 cover. A good friend of mine is a big Wonder Woman fan so I couldn't resist adding a "super" smile...

cheers,
daniel

Some good stuff. I still don't know who JB was drawing (from the SF story).

Not sure, but the original Gold Key character Magnus Robot Fighter is being published in a new version, written by Louise Simonson.

This is old stuff. I haven't done any comic related characters in a while.

You can see the rest at my www link below.

I have no artistic ability whatsoever.  However, I was messing around with Poser the other day and found what I thought was a neat technique.

Here is a typical, kinda blah, poser pick of Dazzler.  I don't particularly like Dazzler, but she was just one of the first models I came across:

But if I render it twice, once in color, once in 'sketch' mode with some tweaked settings, and then composite them together in GIMP (layer filter set to Value) I end up with this:

Which is still quite crappy compared to the actual art that all of you have displayed in this thread, but it made me happy.  It seemed to conceal the obvious Poser-ness of the model pretty well.

Please note these are pieced together since I don't have a scanner capable of 11 x 17 artwork.

Here's a rough sketch of Iron Man and Batman, done on Friday:

And here's the finished pencils, done Today.  The inside of Batman's cape will be all black when I get it inked (too lazy to pencil it all in).  The cape went way beyond being practical, but I liked the effect.
