thanks john (also thanks for what you said in the new artwork thread too)

thanks arc. i failed to say after o'malley (it is written on the piece). i worked off some images he did. on ramona i did add some stuff to what i was basing the drawing from. it was hand drawn though. no copying or anything. but thanks for the nice comments anyway!

Let's keep the politics out of the sketchbook thread.

Arc-"Darren : I really like that character of yours. When did you come up with it?"

Thanks Ari, two days ago. I had a little idea for a short tale between two character that I don't own the copyright for -or- am I employed by the companies that own them. So I thought I'd design two characters that I -could- use that might fit -type- in order to deliver the story. Also, I wanted to continue developing this 'fun' style of art. Thanks for asking.

Dave-"Darren - i like this character especially the clawed hands and feet!"

Yes, I 'borrowed' these from an old character I have. However, these are not unique in the superheroe world. Just suited the character really and I guess at the end of the day, that's what's important, right!

Al- "I was thinking about JPB's style the other day and realized that it would be really cool to see his Demon more..."

Got to agree with this Al. I marvel at the wonderful form that JPB has, latent in his sketches. I enjoy seeing all the work he posts, even though I might not comment on all of it, I certainly appreciate the lift I get when I see them.

Holy cr** Darren, that's some seriously great artwork!

Legs seem relatively short on some of your characters? It looks cool, not to the detriment of the sketch, just something I noticed, though I might be off (I'm no expert).

P: "Holy cr** Darren, that's some seriously great artwork!"

That's very kind of you to say so Philipp and I appreciate it.

P:"Legs seem relatively short on some of your characters? "

Well noticed, I draw my comic/toon characters 'top-heavy' through stylistic choice.

P:"It looks cool, not to the detriment of the sketch, just something I noticed,"

That's great feedback Philipp and encouraging, thanks.

P:" though I might be off (I'm no expert)."

Never underestimate the importance your opinion, so long as people remember it is -theirs- and theirs alone! You -are- an expert on what you do and don't like, and your saying so, has helped me here and I appreciate that help. Thanks.
