This thread will keep on going and going...

Anyways, here's the first of a couple of scans that I'm putting up today to keep it going.  I finally got my PC back from the shop after taking it to get fixed.  It turns out that the original video card (an Nvidia GeForce 8800GT w/ 512 MB RAM) went tits-up on me.  The replacement?

A 1 GB Nvidia GeForce 9500GT.  It should be a bit of an improvement over the old card in terms of gameplay, and I could use it when I get back on iRacing.com.

The pic above was a "daily sketch" that I decided to throw together during lunch.  Someone we all admire had a birthday within the last week, and I'll do my bit for him using one of the characters that he introduced in the pages of his now-classic run of X-Men back in the day...

My second sketch...

This one's a little bit of a "false start" for me.  Hence, the partially laid out panels in this page.  I was trying to get something started just to have something to put through the big scanner that I recently brought, only to find myself going "Crap!  I can't get it right," again.  Basically, it'd be a fight scene with some original characters of mine going up against each other.

The layouts, of course, were done in blue pencil (darkened in Paint Shop Pro 9 using the histogram adjustment tool).  I had started filling in the protagonist on the first panel using 2H graphite, but I was in the middle of doing something with my laptop at the time and couldn't take it off the desktop to really get the drawing board in use.*  I'll probably bring this one back out after a while to see if I can't get it finished.

* Try finishing a pencil sketch while cradling a drawing board in your elbow while also glancing up at a laptop screen to see if the computer startup has finished running.  Kind'a hard, isn't it?

Anyway...

Here is a sketch I did of Modesty Blaise, in one of my attempts to get back into drawing.

Same here. You do know that you can submit fanart to the swedish agentX9 site and maybe end up doing a cover?
