I look at these sketches as ideas for more finished pieces. Here's the progression of an acrylic I completed a couple of weeks ago based on my pen & ink illustration of Psalms 107:

Sketch had been in my sketchbook for a couple of years, I scanned it a while back and since my scanner is dead now I was bored and decided to put some color to it :)

Took a break from 1915-era uniforms and hardware tonight - always had a soft spot for ol' Slade; maybe there should more grey-haired old superguys out there for us gentlemen of advancing years to identify with ...

And here are a few photographs from a painting I did this past Sunday at a church event. Painted it entirely between worship services, 1pm-4pm. Really great experience.

That's one sweet Terminator! Now, there's a character I used to love to draw
when I was a kid! Should give it another shot one of these days!
