Wow! Thanks, guys.

I am freelancing at the moment, but nothing "big" yet. But I feel like I am reeeeally really close. At least, that's what people keep saying.

Dave Olbrich (VP of Space Goat productions) was having portfolio reviews at the Anaheim Wondercon. I was fortunate enough to get quite a glowing review from him.

He gave me some assignments (like a tryout, I guess). One of them was to do a few Avengers pages from a story that'd come out within the last 5 years. The other was to do something "outside my norm," and he used Swamp Thing as an example. What I posted were the results. I just sent them to him yesterday.

I also met John Barber from IDW who was super nice and had good things to say. So I've been sending him stuff, too. Something's gotta give!

I am in the process of laying out my Avengers pages now.

It's really great that you are pursuing the dream, Ronald!  I hope this turns into paying gigs for you.

I'd love to see some of your superhero stuff. If it's as good as those Swamp Thing pages you're in business I think.

WHOOO ! ! !

To BE the man, you gotta BEAT the man!

Anyone else think a blond Undertaker would have made a great Sabretooth? Or an even greater Solomon Grundy?

Yes, and yes. Sid Vicious would make for a good Grundy too...

I hope you don't mind, Ronald, but I broke in a new brush pen with your Swamp Thing.
