There are a lot of impressive sketches posted here. I’ve sort of hit a wall with my sketching. I am getting comfortable with my ability to copy other drawings and photos, but I am really struggling to come up with my own drawings. Learning to "see" things and be able to copy them happened relatively quickly. Drawing from my imagination without any type of reference has been an extremely slow process. Is this a common problem?

Geoff-
In all seriousness, it happens alot (to me). I sometimes force
myself out of these "blocks". Look at old comics, movies( 50's
sci-fi), read a book(issac Asnimov) or go to a museum.
Something that will stirr the creative juices, don't forget to bring
a sketch pad with you(i've gone thru several) you never know
when something might spark a fire.

Thanks for the advice.  Your drawings are really nice.  I'm looking forward to seeing more.
