With all this talk about who's showing up in the series, you've got our mouths watering, JB!

Got any more o' them 'sneak peeks'?

Mr. Byrne, I have reason to suspect that the Scarlet Witch will be making an appearance as well. :)

That is a splendid line up, and honestly, I'm eager to see your modern treatment on ALL these characters. It seems a shame to me that Marvel won't pick up the ball on this; I can't imagine it not making money. (Well, I can, but I suspect that in today's market, this would sell like pancakes at the Donner Party family reunion.)

Frankly, I love the snatches of your art in this forum, and eagerly await any more of your work in any venue.

••

Indeed. But not as part of this lineup.

WOW! My childhood returns — I love it! Another great page!

What could possibly be the reason why Marvel isn’t publishing this yet? I’m truly baffled.

“Familiar to those who live in New York City”

Would it be ok to ask why that note was made during the process? Curious...

That note to myself is for possible caption copy— which I ended up not using.

Just awesome. Love those camera angles and the way the jet is coming in sideways!
I've always liked the character of Wonder Man - he's one of those 'forgotten' Marvel characters.

Very cool. Those are some damned tiny X-men in panel one. I just can't wait for this John Byrne time machine to my childhood to be published. the pencils are very tight and I dare say some of the layouts and story telling look like JB has thrown down the gauntlet to all previous comic book work. I know OMAC is a highlight, but Elsewhen appears to be the best ever.

A little history: I drew that version of the quinjet after asking, for an issue of THE AVENGERS, if there was reference for a standard version. I was told to “make one up” and, based on the requirements of the story, designed this.

Subsequently, to my great delight, this became the standard version for years after.

As a foreigner I ask, what's "familiar to those who live in NYC" on this page ?
