I’d actually done that spidery Spider-Man cover quite a while before it saw print. The editor rejected it, and it languished in a drawer until a new editor decided to use it. Became one of my most popular spider-covers.

Possibly not an option, but an Artifact Edition of JB covers would be great I think.

How about just a collection of JB covers?
For the ASM 296 cover, it could have come straight out of the 60s. I distinctly remembering doing a double take when I originally saw it. Figured it was going to be a reprint and Marvel wanted a new cover to match the tone of it.
It just oozes Ditko weirdness.

That ASM 296 cover is scary as hell. I love it.
Dave S. is right that it oozes Ditko weirdness, but I think it also has a John Romita feel to it as well. But it seems to be a nearly perfect Spider-Man cover.

All of these Spider-Man covers are great. Love the #3 and #4 of Web of Spider-Man covers (used to have all the early issues of that series at one time). Somehow I've never seen that Amazing Spider-Man #296 cover which is fantastic. I've been getting all things I can find drawn by JB for almost 20 years and still see stuff I've never seen. So prolific. I don't think it's any secret that the reason there are so many Byrne covers during the 80's is because they sold comics.

That G.I.Joe cover with Clutch falling is my favorite from the entire Marvel run.I wish IDW and Hasbro could come up with a good idea to relaunch the I.P. with JB on pencils. I miss G.I. Joe.

Hope I won’t lose any friends for saying this, but aside from some of the larger vehicular toys I have no interest in the Joes. Those covers were done as a favor to the editor (as were the POWER/FIST covers).
