I'm no colorist by any means, but I thought it would be a fun exercise to see what the inked page might look like in color. I kind of like how it turned out!

Great stuff once again, Paul. BTW, great coloring decision on the creature above. The exposed pink innards against the white manages to make it look even more disgusting than what JB originally drew!

Thanks Vinny! JB can draw the best looking 'disgusting' art!

General observation: some of you are “tidying up” too much.

Every time I ink one of these pages, I feel the need to capture Terry Austin, so “tidying up” invariably seems to come into play for me.

I’ve tried a few where I try to stay looser, and it feels closer to what my actual style might be. But nostalgia is a strong pull!
(I also do a lot of “what would John Byrne do?” Which by nature is much more organic) |

Will take that into account, JB! I've been doing a bunch of inking on various pencilers to help me with my 'style'. Of course, my favorite to work on are yours (:

 | Mark - I did really enjoy the Terry Austin inks era. However, I think I'm in the minority by saying he's not my favorite Byrne inker.

I prefer to take my observations  from JB’s Fantastic Four run when it comes to inking Elsewhen.
