Those are beautiful pages, Mark! Clean lines, nice style - I can certainly see an Austin influence. My only slight criticism is the white lines around Wolverines nose on the first page. If you blackened those in it would be perfect. Just a subjective observation, otherwise everything was excellent.
Darren - beautiful page as well. I like the tones - makes it look ethereal.

Agreed, Paul. They really fell out when I sized the image down.

Really nice work, everyone!

I'm curious... Has anyone on the board inked an entire issue? Also, has anyone inked several, or every issue completed so far?

The best I've done is two pages in a row. I have ambitions of doing five pages in a row... but it's a long way off at my speed.

Back in January I was able to keep up with issue 29 as it came out. Later I decided to color a page from that same issue. Usually, I get between 4 or 5 pages done in a month. Lately, I’ve been working on older issues. I use a tablet and stylus, at size. I think some don’t consider that real inking, but I’m learning so much every day. I learn from this forum every time as well. It’s more fun than I expected, and the pencil work is amazing.

Matt - I've toyed with the idea of inking a whole issue but so far I think the most I've done is maybe six pages total for a single issue.
I've inked pages from every issue except #'s 2, 10, 11, 14. Now, thanks to Matt, I feel I must complete that assignment!

Matt, long ago I inked 10-15 pages of issues 8-10, but it was two years ago and I only posted the pages I thought were best.

Wow, Darren. You continue to inspire! Love the use of tones. I tried a bit too,
and I like the possibilities.

Those screen tones are looking great. It’s like a replacement for color, as if it was a panel from a black and white magazine from the 70s.

Yup Craig, I agree. It has that nostalgic feel to it. The funny thing is, I had to color mine then convert it to b&w halftones to get it to have that look.

It’s been interesting watching the snow evaporate over the last few issues. #30, page 3.
