"As I mentioned, altho it dates all the way back to Chris and me thinking about what we might fo with Willy, I'd used it already in one of my own projects. But, hey, a good idea is a good idea!"________________________________
And there it is, the reason why I shouldn't have been so quick to trust how easily the pieces came together in my brain. This wasn't me figuring it out, just me remembering without remembering where I remembered from! Mea Culpa.

At least this time I was reusing the idea knowing I was doing so. There have been a few times when a BRILLIANT IDEA has popped into my head, and I have realized only long after that it was something I had already done. (Preferable, of course, to it being something SOMEONE ELSE had already done!)

Xavier's face in the latest page makes me recall the Balok shown at the end of every STAR TREK epidode that used to scare the crap out of me as a kid!

Brilliant again, Mr. Byrne. Not only a Spider-Man cameo, but the FF as well! And a monstrous variety of the Thing!
And as noted, that look on Xavier's face is tremendous. I feel that that's how a telepath in connection to someone else would look... that face hearkens back to Mr. Spock in a mind meld.
Do you ever get weary of exceeding your own genius? Because I have to say, I don't! Your art and story are still thrilling and enticing... I hope Elsewhen goes on for a considerably long time!

Page 15 is my favorite so far. The detail, layout and textures on the page make panels 2 and 3 look like mini commissions. The close up of Professor X makes me think of Neal Adams.

I'm seeing hints of P. Craig Russel in that page. JB Contains multitudes.

I was seeing a whisper of Wendy Pini in the Xavier face.

Definitely, particularly in the eye and ridge shapes. I'm seeing the PCR largely in the feathered linework and curlicues edging the shadows of the face.

I was wondering who you were channeling in Professor X. Thanks for the insight. Now I can sleep without running through every classic comic artist I could remember!

It sounds repetitive, but fantastic art on that latest page.
