I don't recall ever seeing any other artist use this technique. Was there a particular artist that influenced you with this?•• Straight from Neal Adams!

I’m thoroughly enjoying this project. It’s occurred to me I’m also
enjoying the deliberate pace. Getting a page every day as opposed to
traditional monthly release...or a more contemporary voluminous
‘binge’? Count me in.

Like Michael above, these pages are inspiring me to want to create myself. I have been planning on working on an art project ready, but seeing JB's new art is motivating. I don't know what it is about seeing great work from other people that affects another person so, but it does. So, also like Michael, I thank you for that inspiration, JB.
I have a question about a specific panel. On the page from yesterday, the panel where the Sentinel scans the room, would you suggest the inker leave the Sentinel "as is"?
If I wasn't already working on something else, I'd love to ink these pages. I may still do so sometime in the future.

Next month’s “issue” paced out to 21 pages, so I’ll be starting by posting 2 in order to maintain the 20 day “schedule”.Perhaps that will help make up for the mini-drought betwixt September and October.

Tangent: since Jim Warden has started selling the pages, maybe we should start a pool on how long it takes for them to start turning up inked. Actually inked. On the paper.

Brian: It’s probably already happened, JB.
I hope not, but I wonder what type of people are more likely, professions or amateurs? Converting hi rez scans to blue line and printing on Bristol boards for inking is a bit of an industry standard these days so hopefully nobody inks the original pencils. However, there seems to be no end to wealthy people with zero concern for preservation so I do worry.
JB, did you do hi rez scans of the originals? You posted 72 dpi JPEGs, but did you keep images at higher resolution?

The introduction of hitherto unknown or unrevealed mutants is an important, key tenet of the series. Sadly, this potential to reveal engaging, interesting or 'cool' characters was horribly abused in the 90s and beyond. Frankly preposterous character ideas like 'Maggot' and 'Marrow' seriously turned me off the series. In more recent years reading comics has seemed largely an exercise in just introducing new characters, or just introducing female versions of established characters, or reforming long-standing villains into 'good guys' (and vice-versa) - or re-telling old stories from an alternate or parallel universe slant.
It is hugely refreshing to have a story-teller simply focusing on the core characters, a solid story-line, and using scenes like the latest three-pager to further reinforce and flesh-out the universe in which our beloved characters operate.
