the current X-men CAN'T even stay dead. Their "Resurrection Machine" brings them back to life right away. Wolverine even got resurrected with his adamantium bones and claws.
Takes a bit of the suspense out when you know everyone is coming back at some point.

Yes, I killed Amanda. Spiteful, I suppose, but I was annoyed by what Chris did with her without me there to stop him. Now we can have a less “elfin” Kurt.
