I think that perhaps at some point it should've just come out that Kurt Wagner wasn't a mutant at all. I don't dislike the different characters that he was (tortured soul, playful elf, religious, romantic, buckle-swashing, etc.) because at least in my time of reading -- from Cockrum to JB to Cockrum -- he was well-drawn and (however variably!) well-written. But just way too much going on for him to be a Lee-Kirby mutant.

Hi, recently joined after finding out about Elsewhen. On p.4, in the third panel at the bottom between Aurora & Northstar and Avalanche, have the people there appeared before?

Michael, be careful what you wish for. Marvel has done some screwy things with Nightcrawler since JB's run, including making him the son of an actual demon.

On the latest page: those hands on the central sentinel are a thing of beauty!
Cool how you've managed to make a single panel read like multiple panels -- as always with you, JB, the art is primarily servicing the story.

Michael, be careful what you wish for. Marvel has done some screwy things with Nightcrawler since JB's run, including making him the son of an actual demon.•• During my time on the book, Chris wanted to make him the son of Nightmare, from DOCTOR STRANGE. Then he wanted to make Mystique Kurt's father. Yes, you read that right.

What was (was it one ?) your idea for the future X-Men last stand ?•• "Days of Future Past" was supposed to BE the "last stand". Kate is sent back and alters her Past, the X-Men's Future. Then she disappears out of Kitty as if she was never there. Then, Chris wrote. . . . . .

Agreed!
Re: The apparent defeat of the sentinels... I'm not quite ready to believe that our heroes are out of this particular fire yet.
