an Editor would likely have shortened the timeline, "let's do it in five rather than 10."•• At Marvel?

JB:"The opening presented the mass slaughter of super-folk as a done deal, and, happily, nobody wrote in to asked how it had been accomplished."-------------------------------------------------------- I was thinking that the kidnapping of various mutants was the difference here. That decision brought the heroes together to fight the sentinels in ELSEWHEN, where as I assumed they were picked off individually in DOFP. Is that explicitly stated in either story? Not as far as I can recall, but Franklin was alive and healthy in DOFP and in apparent rough shape after a rather short time as prisoner in ELSEWHEN.

Like I said, this should not be read as an alternate timeline.

Well perhaps the medical center where Beast took the wounded mutants was near the Hellfire Club. So he was attracted by the sounds of the battle and came out to see what was happening although first he had called some medical friends: Dr. Donald Blake and Dr. Stephen Strange! Coincidences exist!

Great page!
My favourite part: the buddying up of Wolverine and Colossus - reminded me a little of 70's Arnold Schwarzenegger and his bodybuilding training partner Franco Columbo (and their difference in height and build)

The Schwarzenegger comment about that scene reminded me of the movie "Twins" (1998) with him.

Aha! And - Uh-Oh! Please don't let this be an introduction of "Mistress Mold!" The team's been through enough, already!

Fantastic stuff! Love seeing Wolverine's tan and brown uniform from the behind angle - too many artists screwed up that design - like they didn't know what it looked like so they just made something up...
