Jeremy: too many artists screwed up that design - like they didn't know what it looked like so they just made something up...
***
This was really a pet peeve for me. My whole opinion of an artist could be overturned when they drew Wolverine's back as if JB hadn't considered designing it at all.

I might have missed this but do we think this story is titled 'Convergence' (or 'Convergeance') because of the coming together of heroes or of plots...or both!?

-JB: At Marvel?
You know that feeling you imagine you'd have if you ever stepped on a pressure-release landmine---
When I wrote the sentence, I didn't imagine it leveled at Marvel editors -solely- but rather against the average editor.
The observation is based on some personal (Hasbro/Mattel) experience but mostly riffing on secondhand (stories read here and other professionals' social platforms).
I'm just glad we are getting to see these stories the way you intended, not through the lens of some company.

Every Sentinel collapse is great and different. We needed this to end this arc especially once and for all, THE clean victory...thank you JB !

The current state of affairs in comics would have taken the Sentinel story from Elsewhen issues 2-10 and made it a 12 issue event in all three books; X-Men, FF and Avengers, 36 six issues. Every other Marvel title would have at least one issue where the title character battled one or more Sentinels until the last page where the Sentinel mysteriously collapsed, 20-30 issues? All the while, the 12-15 pages that JB has used to show what the Shi'ar have been dealing with would be the lead up to next year's 12+ issue event. Would it be considered a success if there weren't 100+ issues to collect over the course of the year?
Instead we get 9 issues of tightly packed story with twists and cliffhangers on almost every page, online and available for anyone willing to come read. I have no analogy to express how great this has been, but plan on using the phrase, "that's Elsewhen awesome" when trying to indicate something is extremely good. =)
What a ride and we are only on issue 10.

it is fascinating the subtle changes being made to some the characters as we go. Changes I really noticed in the current (April 23) page.
I see Cyclops' visor short, sleeker and more aerodynamic. It's good.
I also see the effort to emphasize Wolverine's stature. Side-by-side with Colossus we see he is certainly shorter, but his legs being noticeably shorter than heroic proportions adding to the effect.
I like the look of the characters evolving like this as they did in the original run and not static.

Of course, this has created in me an obsession!!

The Sentinel was almost showing some compassion for Jean being so afraid. Also, was it's mission not to kill a result of it being one of Shaw's Sentinels, still on it's mission?
