Gotta give that one to Claremont - "Logan" is a perfect name for him*. Works as either a first or last name, too.
*Though having the name first revealed by a Leprechaun is another thing!

Quite accidentally, Chris named Logan after the highest mountain in Canada (second highest in North America). He had no idea it existed until I told him.*The mountain was named after Sir William Edmund Logan, a geologist of considerable professional stature. Willie? Eddie? Tim “Dr. Claws” Logan...........? —————— * No idea from whence he got the name. LOGAN’S RUN?

James MacDonald Logan--------------------
fun fact: through the pile of history lumped onto Logan in recent years, it turns out that Logan and James Hudson are cousins

What the hell is it with this constant desire to mess with his history?
The reveal of Logan’s name was genius - it was so casually thrown in over a few instances that the reader (me) missed it - not once, but twice & only caught it on a reread.
& even then I think I only caught it when Hudson calls him by his name. I can’t remember when I actually noticed the first instance.
But there it was, hidden in plain sight.
& then we had this James Howlett crap. & now you are telling me he’s Hudson’s cousin???? Really?
Wolverine was my favourite character growing up - I can’t even read a comic of his now because he has been so destroyed.
But the Logan here. Well. It’s like all that weight has been lifted from him, & he’s the character that gained my attention all those years ago - short, feisty, & perpetually annoyed @ something.
