A meter is 38 inches. A “meter six” would be 1meter and 6 centimeters,
at 2.54 cm to the inch.

*******

Why would it be centimeters and not decimeters? Legitimate question
having not had to really use the metric system for length.

Probably an error from the letterer. It should be one meter and sixty centimeters.

This is going to possibly be ridiculously nerdy but I can't help it. Looking at that #108 page - in the second panel we get a shot of Wolverine's hand and the claw housing looks metallic, which I always assumed was the way his gloves looked. But this is Fang's costume - so - what was the understanding of his claws in those days? Were there small holes that they easily popped out of or was the "it cuts his hands every time he does it" in play back then?

Hell - it was your first issue and he only appears in the two panels. Let's blame Andy Yanchus for not coloring it properly.

A metre is 39 3/8",  not quite, just a little shorter at 39.37007874".

Sorry ; )

Those metal glove protectors just velcro on. They were all that was left of his costume!

I always loved the "tubes to guide the claws" idea and would've really loved if you had ever gotten a chance to draw your idea to have Logan pop his claws with his hands held at 90 degrees to the claws had to pop out his palms (thereby explaining the tube idea in one or two panels sans dialogue)

I think an awful lot of us immediately recognized that much beloved 'POW'! :-)

It's little touches like that, which tie this series to what has gone before (or rather, what has gone before that MEANT anything).

Bravo.

Curious... is there a little drawing of Jahf behind that “POW”? Great drawing on that page!

Awesome! The fight I've been waiting for since Jahf showed his teeny little
face.

And I just love how many people picked up on the "POW!" The original run on
X-Men means so much to me - I read and reread what I issues I had as a kid,
and they remain a staple for me. I like this all new material, but that was a
welcome "call back" that isn't too cutesy and didn't get in the way of the story,

Wow.  All the different angles you're playing with over these pages.

Even when considering the use of foreshortening, the panel of Wolverine "in flight" really shows that he is built differently to other heroes.
