I can think of only one way the X-Men could have survived that... but we'll see...

I checked the latest page before reading the comments about it. I figured it was all that wreckage you meant, as Lilandra/Phoenix, while cool-looking, didn't seem to be an especially difficult thing for you to draw.
Whew! All that rubble...! I totally get what you mean, JB.

I don't see how the X-Men can win this one, so look forward to seeing how JB shows us they do!

Generally, a homeowners policy will cover a loss provided it meets the "sudden and accidental" criteria, less specific exclusions. In the Marvel Universe, I imagine there would be a lot of specific wording regarding "Acts of God", and who/what constitutes a god/God. Terrax throwing a car at the Thing versus Galactus stepped on my car, etc.
The only two series that I can think of off the top of my head to deal with that are Damage Control and Astro City, but I'm sure there are others. Probably not a huge appetite in the direct market for insurance nonsense, though.

This series has a tremendous succession of cliff-hanger final pages to whet the appetite for what comes next.
Really missing that fuzzy elf, though... :-(

Professor, why are all the family heirlooms in the mansion replicas?

"You guys have gotten used to me breaking stuff. I just turned the mansion into a pile of kindling. Which I then had to draw multiple times over the next four issues.
Okay, so after decades of practice, it’s not actually HARD, but it is TEDIOUS and TIME CONSUMING!"
••
Ah, yeah, I see that. I've been inking these pages for fun, and I have to admit when I saw this, I thought "pass!"

Ah, but of course. LOVELY!
Y'know, Reed Richards could make a(nother) fortune by creating a small gang of devices that rebuild structures quickly. Seems that a lot of houses and headquarters get demolished somewhat often. As I think about it, I believe the only one I HAVEN'T seen smashed apart is Dr. Strange's sanctum sanctorum. Of course, he knows the blueprints, so...
Or does Damage Control exist in this Marvel Universe?

Damage Control answered a question that didn’t need answering. I rank it alongside Clark Kent’s hypnotic glasses and the Enterprise transporter’s “Heisenberg compensator”.

Fantastic - this issue has been the best one yet, JB! Thank you for continuing this series. As with your previous work, you start building momentum and things just get better and better.
This has indeed been a port in the storm. A welcome break from these awful times.

Jahf vs. Dark Lily... round one?
I have an urge to pull out Hidden Years #9 just now.
I think I missed one thing though, why did turning metal make Colossus go Arggh?
