Yikes! Just how far did Phoenix fling Scott a few pages ago?
Today's page with Professor X reminds me of how badly the Doom Patrol's Chief was tortured. It looks like the X-Men are really in for a tough time.

Could be wrong but thinking "Jean Grey" or certain individuals that has S.S. in their title.

Just did a page repeating certain panels from 135. Interesting, from an artistic perspective, to note what’s different and what’s the same. 40 years! Yoiks!!

"ARRGGH!" --- Heck yeah!
How does one pencil "Kirby Krackle"? Circles?
This whole experience is just too cool.
I feel fortunate to be watching it unfold in real-time. THANK YOU JOHN BYRNE!

Kirby Krackle: side of the pencil, random loops of different sizes. But the important thing to keep in mind is that it’s the negative space around the “dots” that’s being defined.

@JB: Thank you for the how-to! I have always admired its look. Similarly, I have long (40 years!) viewed your art as a gold-standard for pen-and-ink, and tried to learn from it (in a strictly amateur way). Seeing this many pages of raw-pencils (from shrub to space-port) is an education in-and-of-itself!
@Michael: I laughed. Later, read it again. I laughed again.
What a story arc! Looking at page 2 of ELSEWHEN #1 (posted 1 year ago) --- I see many of the Lilandra/Phoenix plot-points being patiently laid down. Ladies and Gentlemen, that's what you call "Having a plan, and following through with it." Bravo!
All plaudits aside, I hope JB understands that in the history of the world, what he's doing here is very, very special...if not unique.
