What was the name (and/or volume) of the Wolverine title where the artist drew Wolverine as short and ugly, and that depiction was changed after fan complaints?

Just spent a few depressing minutes googling Wolverine faces, and noticed how many artists draw the plumes on the sides of his hair drooping outwards. I guess that’s more “realistic”.

That panel with Scott and Phoenix -- perfection! I can't tell what's going on in
Phoenix's head, but Scott has the best chance of getting through to whatever
sliver of Jean remains.
Amazing to see these characters from your pencil, JB! It's like seeing old
friends (the kind of old friends who never stop fighting and trashing property,
but glad to see them nonetheless!)

Vinny, I'm not sure I've ever seen those covers before today. In one of the issues I'm talking about, Wolverine is "flattened" by a steam roller, and left trapped beneath it by someone.

While searching Google to find that Wolverine title, I came upon a few additions to the long list of reasons why JB’s X-MEN: ELSEWHEN is the only Marvel book I’m interested in reading...
1. Cap’s shield is laced with Uru. (Although I really dislike the idea, since the original round shield has been broken multiple times, maybe this move will put an end to it ever being damaged again.)
2. Magneto can lift Mjolnir.
3. Vibranium is now found in Antarctica as well as Wakanda.
4. Wolverine's adamantium makes him immortal.
5. Wolverine is short because part of his spine was removed due to injury, and after the adamantium was added, it prevented him from regrowing that missing part. The constant pain Logan endures because of this is why he is always so “grumpy.”
Ugh.
Back to ELSEWHEN!!!

I just remember Wolverine being run over by the steamroller. I don't think he was truly flattened, but his body did disappear beneath the roller. I think his claws were also drawn in the flat knife style.
