That credits question brings back memories of another (minor) butting of heads with Chris. He insisted on crediting himself as "Author", while I was "Artist" and Terry was "Inker".

Interesting that a writer could make that call. I would think that would be better determined by an editor, who might be better familiar with the various contributions. (Perhaps I'm wrong on that point?)

Jean: "Oh sh-" (poof) Phoenix: "Next." -------------------------- I can't imagine Jean swearing so I'm imagining "Shoot" :)

ITEM: That interstellar art is AMAZING! You really are a master of the star systems. I could easily have seen you on Green Lantern or Adam Strange. Of course, that will never happen now... :( :( :(
ITEM: Yes, I can see how Batman might not fit into such a venue.
All this and the return of Gladiator! That's gonna be fun, I think!

BEAUTIFUL first panel. Gazed at it for quite awhile. Neat effect.
Again hoping I would be clever enough to suss it out on my own---but do any of you gentle readers know yet which subplot was "excised"?
Peter's broken leg not healing? Havok and Polaris at the hospital? Que?

Steven - with all due respect, I'm pretty confident that Mr. Byrne would have shared it had he wanted us to know. And no, I've no idea what subplot was pulled.

This is not a challenge. The removed subplot is not one you could “suss out” as it had not appeared here when I decided to cut it. In fact, that was part of what made it possible to cut it. The first cut happened on the last page of 15, before I posted it here.

My misunderstanding! I thought you had indicated earlier that it would be obvious later---and I thought the time for "obvious" had passed, with me still "oblivious".

I'd said I may post some or all of the deleted pages when this cycle is finished.Or I may not!

Typo: "draw" should be "drawn."
But it's all nicely drawn!

Your Gladiator is the best! Always looks so imposing and intimidating. So cool.
Question that has probably been answered but I couldn't find it: Are you hand lettering or is that software and a font?
Everything just takes me back to my childhood and looks so great. Said a million times, but here's one more: Thanks for sharing!
