Outstanding art on this latest page. Great expressions on the faces and that marvellously 3-D helmet looks real enough to reach out and grab it.

JB, speaking of "slave wages," I regularly steal the line you gave Lois Lane in MAN OF STEEL #5: "Greetings, wage-slaves."

(...although I usually slap "fellow" in front of the "wage-slaves.")

By my reckoning the following pages have been updated so far:

Issue 12 - pages 6, 7, 10, 11, 18 & 20 (complete)

Issue 13 - pages 6, 11 and 14 (complete)

Issue 14 - pages 5, 8, 14, 15  and 20 (complete)

Issue 15 - pages 4, 5, 6, 7, 12 and 14 (complete)

Issue 16 - page 17  (complete)

Issue 17 - page 15

Issue 18 - page 5

The scope of the changes varies of course, from a completely new page (15.05) to just the toe of Peter's boot (14.15).

Wow, that third panel of X is practically a photograph.

I've now resigned to call these last panels Byrne-Hangers!

It's such fun thinking through the latest daily twist, and wondering where JB might be taking us next.

More than an hour after reading today's page, I had a stroke of inspiration about the last panel.  And the best part is, tomorrow I'll enjoy what happens regardless of whether I'm right or wrong!

JB - did you ever make a firm decision on whether you'll be using the "Blood and Trenches" art style at some point on the project?

Bad Beast has been going through it, hasn't he? It's nice to see someone other than Wolverine catch heck for a while.

Re:  “Medieval Barbute Helmet” ---

Hokey smokes(!)  The things you learn in a comic forum.

Re: Chris and John's "Xavier issue" ---

UXM #117 was, and still is, a masterpiece.  Top to bottom.

It's cool that JB has left the original page alongside the new one -- love the Kirby crackle on that new page in issue 15.

I see what you mean.  Take the visor off and you're pretty much there.

This X-Men versus M-Men is playing out like a chess game. Move blocked, counter-move blocked.  At bit rough on the X-Men that the opponents have two kings in play, but that's to be expected from the bad guys I guess.

Man, that Magneto helmet is amazing - the internal padding must be pretty tight to stop it from spinning out of position.  Maybe that's why M's so bad-tempered.  :-)

On another note, I've finally completed the run of Elsewhen covers to date.  If you're interested, you can find them here.

Fascinating page today. Another bend in the road!

Also like the "traditional" rounded corner flashback panels inside pointy cornered panels. Nice alternative.
