Love it! Have to admit, I'd considered a way I thought this might go and am glad to see it didn't happen that way. :)

Ah, so Magneto may have planned to conquer other dimensions, but he actually ran in fear in the end.
Nice one

Ah... SO invigorating! Magneto claims to be a "god" of magnetism, but in the end - he pales before a real god. That fear is blazingly self-evident, and I feel a modicum of justice for Cap, Iron Man, and the FF.
I'll reverse speculate - I thought Wanda was going to send Mjolnir skirting into the sun, leaving Don Blake to die in airless orbit of Earth. How lovely it is to be wrong!
Mr. Byrne, have you ever considered augmenting the X-Men with "gadgets" - not to replace their abilities but to augment them. For example, goggles that prevent them from being flashed a la Aurora and Northstar, or that would grant them UV vision. Or perhaps helmets with a built in oxygen supply. Or other supplements to their abilities. I think of this because of Cyclops new helmet.
I understand that this encroaches dangerously on "pouches" territory, but I seem to recall that Smart Alec's helmet provided enhanced senses. And so many heroes have used radios... a built in unit might be, ah, hands-free handy. :)
Loving the direction this story - and ALL you stories - go! Keep up the good work, if you please!

Wouldn't be surprised, Jonathan! But glad to see Magneto was *not* up to this challenge, it seems.

Amazing central panel in today's page. A thing of majesty. Kind of horrible to see Nightcrawler being used as a tool this way.

The fact that you would create a model to draw it in a story shows how dedicated you are to your craft. It definitely enhances the artwork!

JB - Today’s (April 7) page is such a joy; calls to mind the many subtle reasons why I enjoy your storytelling (in addition to the actual story). Your pencils have an identity and language of their own.
Do you plan to sell these original pages?
Thank you for all you do!

this is something I've thought of, you could create an entirely new hero just with peripheral stuff collected from various characters... Spider-Man's web-shooters, that image transducer, Iron Man's repulsor beams, Wonder Man's rockets belt, a shield close to Captain America's like USAgent has... just there you have a fairly powerful character! Add a vehicle designed by reed Richard or Wakandans. This is more why powerful gizmos can be a real mistake. If I were Marvel god I'd make the image transducer thing never have happened.
What a great, and unexpected (by me anyway), touch to have Magneto and crew fleeing to 'our' world!

Interesting to note that Alt-Cyclops' powers are different to our Cyclops', in that they generate heat as well as concussive force.
