I also think I know what Magneto did. Let's please keep any further thoughts regarding his sudden disappearance to ourselves so as to avoid traveling down the path of speculation.

Love how with the helmet we still cannot tell which Mags lived all these pages later. The quick disappearance fits him as any good villain always has an escape plan, although I was hoping to see Warren do the wing whack to him.

Without the cape, Magneto now looks like the Secret Wars action figure I had of him when I was a kid! That's the Magneto who survived: the Mattel action figure!

You draw Angel better than anyone. Their is a rumor that Marvel Legends is going to debut an action figure based on this classic version soon, and I hope they base it off of your version of him.
I've always wondered what blue Archangel would look like had you drawn him. I don't remember ever seeing your interpretation of what Warren later evolved into.

That shot of Warren in the top panel does look mighty spiffy!
Moreover, I can't ignore your choice for the adorable form o' soarin' Storm in the fourth panel. Encore!

JB, your flying characters always look so natural in the air. The Angel in today's page is magnificent.

Mr. Byrne, it's elementary for me to request MORE Angel, because of flight scenes like today. You achieve the majesty be deserves to be treated with. But then again, you do the same with Cyclops and Storm. And Charles looks like a properly heroic/tragic character, both the leader of the X-Men and a victim.
I don't even want to speculate on these pages. I just want more more more, please.

Angel looks great! People with wings is an image that goes way way back of course so I guess it has widespread appeal.
Storm looks great and I'm glad she has her iconic headdress. I remember the '70s Spider-Woman using her underarm webbing to glide but not fly, but the best I can come up with for Storm's cape is her maybe deflecting or directing some force of nature a little with it?

Characters with wings are a pain in group shots. They mostly have to stand at the back!
