JB: that Facebook page says FOR FANS, but, should say anything
but…
I’ve had to block almost every single member on there just to be able to
read any kind of posts. It’s not so much a FAN page, as it is Passive
Agressive teenagers huddled in the corner of the cafeteria saying “stuff
I would never say to JB’s face”.
They think it’s so easy doing what you do….let’s see what THEY’VE
ever done.

The sad part is that most of these people are middle-aged men not
teenagers.
I have challenged some of the critics who are supposedly writers and
artists to get together to produce their own issue, but they haven’t done
it because they can’t. As the saying goes, it is a lot easier to tear down
than to build up.
Some try to act sophisticated saying the stories are predictable even
though they are wrong most of the time.

I believe I know the FB group being talked about. There are 5-6 people who've taken it upon themselves to slam Elsewhen every single day (for the past three years mind you). They hound anyone making positive statements about the group. I've no idea their motivation, but it would not surprise me if more than one of them imagines some sort of personal grudge, which is pretty crazy.

A long-ago girlfriend pointed out that many of the Byrne Bashers were spawned when I left UNCANNY X-MEN and they took it as a personal affront. Sadly—pathetically—many of those seem still to be out there.

The person who runs the group changed the tone of it after he was called out for pirating the Elsewhen pages. He previously kept a short leash on the bashing, now he encourages it. And, yes, more than a few seem to believe Uncanny was the be-all, and end-all. The group might have thousands of members/followers, but the participation is only a few dozen at best. I don't bother with it, as the bashing is over the top.

What a last page... and now I want the next one pretty badly! :^o
So far have not once ever regretted never joining Facebook. Anyone who gets frustrated with me for not wanting to look at something there as directed can 'enjoy' without me. There is some kind of group there for people with axes to grind about an audio forum, they basically spend their lives ridiculing posts on it. I took a look once and laughed to see I was mocked once by some tough talking anonymous character, but mostly they were finding everything and anything wrong about the recording professional who hosts the forum they left. So I guess that anyone who has achieved anything, or even just said something of any substance, now has a few skulking haters online someplace calling them names? Like I said... 'enjoy'?

Those pirated ELSEWHEN pages were/are a source of great frustration (on multiple sites). “Look, we’re supporting JB!” But not by simply posting links to this site. Pasting the work into their own forums, often declaring the pages to be FREE! Like they’re not, here?

Looks like I got blocked from the site for
criticizing some members. It is probably
for the best. There is so much negativity
there. I think was mainly going there out
of habit more than for enjoyment.
