The only recent comics I've bought were all reprints/facsimile editions... I was a bit tempted to maybe check out modern Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel based on ads in those $1 reprints, but most of the other ads scared me off the current Marvels.
I'm slow, I think I've only just noticed Gladiator has pointed ears with these last two pages. Looking back at FF #249-250 I see they always were. :^.

Not backups! Each story was on equal footing with the others. Often, the story that provided the cover scene was not even the first!

Hey JB, new comics have that beat. Now the cover on the comic often has nothing to do with the story inside at all. Sometimes not even the characters in the story.
