Holy cow! I am so glad that I slowly scrolled down today’s page panel-by-panel. The look on my face at the bottom of the page had to have been priceless.

I really like the take-charge approach of JB's Jean Grey.

That close-up of Thor has a real Neal Adams feel to it.

The drama in this issue just keeps upping itself with very page!

Edited to fix typo.

They were so close... dang it, Gladiator.

This page composition as a whole really flows. Every panel of action is bursting with energy. Love these big Byrne battles!

It might be a good time right now, to mention that my main reason for bringing in the Asgaardians was that it would allow me to wrap things up quickly. This issue ends the alt-X-Men arc, and next issue moves into new territory.

So, yes, some punching and hitting on the next few pages, but not too many of those pages!

BTW, I am prepared for complaints that the ending of this story arc seems “rushed”, but, honestly, short of padding it out with fight scenes, I couldn’t think of any way to make it longer.

And there is one thread that will run beyond the wrap-up of this story.

Not all stories need a long padded out ending. Sometimes things wrap up quickly. I'm fine with that as long as it was entertaining.

And I have been entertained with all these issues!

JB,

I'm loving this page!!

The Adams-esque Thor!!

The beautiful rendering of Sif!!

and the OH SHIT!!!!!!!! moment of Gladiator's entrance!!!!

Here's hoping Thor kicks butt.

Question JB - Now that you have touched upon the Alt-What-If X-Men tale, are you happy that it is out of your system?

It may not have been the actually story many fans wanted to see, but for me, I am more than satisfied in what you presented.
