My apologies. I was trying to be delicate and not trip up on blatant, out-loud speculation (because the reveal hasn't yet been made officially-official)... but it was the line ---
"But there must be a way to stop him!"
It was a quiet note, and you're known for dropping subtleties. Since Alt-clops wasn't able to deliver the solution for [X] -- no pun intended -- it left the overall dynamic pregnant, so to speak, for the possibility of Real-clops to pull another rabbit out of his hat.
I may have been reading too much into it. But this is seemingly a situation where they're all gonna have to be uber-wily if they wanna survive.

Meanwhile, spent some time just now with the ol' calculator, and have determined that, purely by coincidence, the first page of issue 25 is number 500.I invite anyone who is so inclined to check my math. I counted only posted pages, and none of those that were cut, or the extras created by repairing Peter's leg. (I did count the "meta" page that entailed.) I'll hold off going back to add that 500 to the background until we're all sure!

#1: 38 pages, #2 20, #3 20, #4 20, #5 21, #6 21, #7 20, #8 20, #9 20, #10 19, #11 20, #12 20, #13 20, #14 20, #15 20, #16 20, #17 20, #18 21, #19 20, #20 20, #21 20, #22 20, #23 19, #24 5 so farNote: counting double page spreads as 2 pages.
So that gives us 484 with 15 pages to go this month (given the usual 20 pages) so #500 should be page #1 next month. Unless I mis-added somewhere. Edit: I listed by issue to make it easier for someone to double check if I matched up. Obviously I matched JB's total, the question is did we both make mistakes or are we both right?

Of course you would pull us away from the X-Men during such a cliffhanger... cruelty!
As cold as Gladiator has been to humans in this series, the latest page shows us that he truly is the Shi'Ar Superman. The panel where he's holding up the ship looks like he's pushed to the absolute *limit*.

Love that last panel of Gladiator tonight John - it’s great seeing your construction lines versus the finished line, the process is quite fascinating and very enlightening.
