There’s a classic example of a “special effect” that didn’t work!I’d noticed that sometimes when a piece of art was scaled UP for publication, the line would get kinda “fuzzy”. I tried to take advantage of that for the sequence of Smart Alec losing his mind, but it didn’t work. Poo! (You know how I can occasionally curse the name of Mark Gruenwald for the way he would use his “executive power” to mess with stuff? In OHOTMU he had a habit of lengthening character name—ironic, given how much he hated being called “Marcus”, even in jest. For the entry for Smart Alec he rendered his real name as “Alexander”—without consulting me, and apparently unaware that “Alec” is a real name.)
