I find this development fascinating. I never imagined Logan having Native roots (as in Half or a quarter Native) or a Native upbringing (having been rescued by a tribe) but it makes SO MUCH sense !

Since the start I’ve imagined Logan’s mother, and least, to be Métis.

JB

Is that Wolverine's trademark belt that he is wearing in that third panel?

Wait, don't we need 5 or 6 pages of seeing what an irreverent jerk the old man tutor is and how everything Logan thinks is the opposite of what he should think?

Oh, all of that can be communicated with one panel? Without the snarky irreverence?

Nevermind.

This is so so great.

Not deliberately.

...so far out of left field, yet so internally logical, I doubt anyone could predict it.

Just a broad, broad hint, to make a few heads pop, imagine Wolverine’s blood being weaponized.

(And if this has already been done, PLEASE don’t tell me!)

I love how the "revered grandfather skull" synchs up with the look of the
shaman Logan knew as a boy-- what a great Easter egg!

******

Very much so.

Thanks for the old image of the skull as I was going to have to hunt old AF issues for it - had a vague memory of something like that and was thinking there was a match.  I LOVE how you put in these little Easter Eggs for us old readers.  Looking forward to the rest of this story and more of those.

The pace of this one is fantastic - we're learning so much about him as his
memory is being restored.

Alpha Flight in general and Shaman in particular in a story with Wolverine is
just too good to be true. This has me revisiting the Alpha Flight run, which is
just excellent and gets better every time I read it.
